A *Moment* Caught in Time

A *moment* caught in time,
Taken by a camera with no storage,
Is but a glimpse through the lens of a stranger;
But he caught our *moment*,
Holding still the world around us
As we continued on living,
Hardly knowing the world had stopped at all
Even if for a *moment*,
Even if just to pose for the lens.
But after reveling in that *moment*,
The one that drifted away with the winds of the world —
Before we were even ready to part ways with it —
We saw the truth of ourselves through that snapshot taken,
So with burdened hearts, we each took our own picture that day,
Not realizing the camera had no storage.
