Creativity Died

How many creatives let their dreams die?

You have this grand idea that might save all the creatures of this Earth. Okay… not all of them, but this idea might just be the idea to change your life around, altering your perception of creativity into a whole new dimension. You let this idea grow and expand and seek more creative branches, as if a seedling growing in the perfect climate, the perfect surrounding, the perfect set-up.

Until —

you halt all actions, ceasing the creation and idea and saving grace to your otherwise mundane life.

Why?

Well, you aren’t entirely sure, and neither is your neighbor or friend or co-worker. Truly, the idea itself dispersed too quickly for proper recognition by you that some Jo Schmo across the universe snatched the idea, gripping it tight so as to not lose out the way you did. The way the cowardice in you let go, as if a child letting go of his first balloon, watching it float higher into the sky until vanquished and then, forgotten all at once. As if it never was in your clutches to begin. As if… some other kid will watch the balloon float and pop above, forming an idea that might just save all the creatures of this Earth.

Perhaps you’re one of the creatives who thrived amid this pandemic, allowing depression and sorrow to run…
