mother earth was in shambles as cancerous man trampled atop her,
refusing to care for her the way she properly deserves,
but the chaos didn’t stop there;
man then progressed to stop caring for his own kind,
rioting and protesting and showing hate rather than love —
the love we especially need right now,
lest the world crumble before our eyes,
and of our own doing —
and tearing apart this poor earth and also,
one another
