Dark Eyes

--

what she believes inevitably becomes her reality,

so her eyes —

the eyes they told her were the windows to her soul —

darkened every day she did something human

(in the filthy profundity of a human’s misery),

until the point of blackening

like molten lava rocks

too hot to endure the withstanding flames of time itself,

as if time is paranormal;

isn’t it,

though?
