Don’t Let the Moments Pass You By

Therefore no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment.

-Bhagavad-Gītā

Yet some of us let the years pass by as if they are merely seconds. What is your purpose in life? Your goals? Your dreams? Your passions? If you can’t even answer these questions, I’m guessing you are letting the days slip through your grip without even two fucks given. Death is looming over us. All of us. It is inevitable. So why do so many of us live as if we are going to live forever? Letting precious moments be squandered by whipping out a camera for a seemingly cool snapchat story? Or what about those days that turn into weeks that turn into months of lazying around the house, watching meaningless (some series are compelling, don’t get me wrong, but that repeat of Friends you have going in the background? Not so much…) Netflix shows? Or perhaps you are sulking over the weekends, disappointed in your life thus far yet not being proactive toward a brighter future. But why? What are you waiting for? For death? For an a-ha moment? For a break? Life doesn’t give you a fucking break. And it definitely doesn’t give you more time, either. Life is constantly moving, and so are you.

We are always moving.
