I See Not by Sight
but with all other senses
i see only the breaths you let linger on my lips as you nearer yours to mine but without so much as a gentle graze between star crossed lovers.
i see the loudness in the footprints you leave behind as you walk deeply into the distance, enthralled by the outside blur of sound that reverberates throughout the entire city, leaving me alone to trace what has been but also what could be.
i see the way your cologne so melodically intertwines with my vetiver, oud and tobacco perfume as your body entangles itself with mine in an intimate lover’s embrace.
i see the saltiness in your sweat beads as they roll down your face and onto your shaky body struggling to hold itself sturdy whilst in a new yoga asana.
i see the way your soul tries oh so hard to leave your body every time mine isn’t there to keep it rooted in its host.
i see the green warmth in your heart as your muster up the courage to out itself via the words: don’t change… i love you the way you are.
i see your nerves transform themselves into twitches as you contemplate the why’s and also the woes of the blackened world that seems so cruel and harsh and unfair and unjustifiably deteriorating mankind alongside its own lack of hospitality.
