My Dirty Soul Was Yours to Take

It took a mere seven seconds for you to strip me naked,
Exposing every shade of smoke covering my soul,
Yearning to be released.
Your green eyes alone spoke more to my heart than any words ever have,
And that is what made me fall into the dream of forever with you,
Giving you the chance to see beyond my marked skin.

And you loved it,
So you kept looking at me,
With high hopes of finding more.
More than my dirty soul,
My putrid stains,
My cracked heart that so desperately wanted to be fixed but also taken.

You looked beyond the black entity that gripped my soul tightly.
Instead, you looked at my naked filth in awe,
Captivated by its defiled smear.
For it was a soul awaiting intensity and ardor from another soul.
And somehow you knew that soul to be yours,
So you took a step back and told me to be yours using just your green eyes.

Your eyes enchanted me to learn more about you also.
So I dove deep into the depths of your soul,
Pushing aside all its grimy past:
I wanted to see the purity behind the stains and you mine,
Because somehow I knew your soul was meant to stick with me forever.
So I took a step back and told you my dirty soul was yours to take.
