The Armor of Make-Up

She used to think dressing her eyes up with black gloves and a shaded hue of smoke, paired with some red brown highlights that traced her cheekbones all the way down to the splash of red mixed in with her black lips, was a statement of armor and cover ups that was much too bold for her persona. That is, until she viewed said makeup as a form of art that merely enhanced her already stated beauty. If a brush can make a blank canvas come alive, why can that same brush not glide along the edges of her features, urging her to feel alive as well? She is a now a bold artist who emphasizes her demand to be seen as such.
