She found herself a new boyfriend, a romantic fetish if you can call a high school relationship romantic or even a high school boy a fetish. Perhaps she still was struggling to love herself enough to tell him she was not ready to be fully invested in a relationship with him, but he was nice enough to her for her to not deny him. He thrust his body atop hers just a week after asking her out though, and she kept saying no, I don’t know. He asked and asked as he pushed himself deeper into her — pinning down her half naked body all the while — and she kept saying no, I don’t know. Eventually, she stopped saying anything and endured his putrid scent all over her, embracing her terrified persona, embracing this moment in life she knew would change her forever. But in her head, she was screaming, thrashing, yelling for help, doing everything in her power to just get him to stop. Stop moving. Stop breathing. Stop kissing her. Stop lusting over her. She just wanted it all to stop, but she stayed silent and closed her eyes, telling herself it would be over soon and that it would never happen again.

But struggling to find her voice, she convinced herself it was okay. She wanted this. She did not push him away, for fear he would be more forceful. She did not really say no. She added in an I don’t know every time. So was it really anything wrong that happened? She lied to herself and to others, pretending…
