We Aren’t Just Humans
So stop saying: “I’m only human.”
“I am just a human being trying to make it in a world that is rapidly losing its understanding of being human.”
— John Trudell
Humans make mistakes, so it’s as if we’ve forgiven all sins, before they’ve even happened because we are just humans. We are only humans.
But we aren’t just human beings.
We are fucking human beings.
We have a machine inside of our heads that dictate our movements, our feelings, our curiosities, our findings, our beliefs, our innate selves. We have this machine that puts together sights, translating our perceptions from past experiences, biases, future comings, and present states of being. This machine we have inside of us? It’s nearly impossible to call human, yet it inhabits our human bodies.
We discredit our thoughts that wander from science to religion to fact to fiction to bemusement to pleasure. It’s as if we’ve lost contact with the spiritual side of the universe that suggests we aren’t just humans; no — we are so much more than that.
So she fucked up. He fucked up. I fucked up. You fucked up. But it’s okay… all is forgiven because we are all just humans, but that’s bullshit, no?!
